The course is based on International GCSE standards that help STS Learners to develop beside the knowledge and understanding, skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving, helping them to perform well and prepare for the next stage of their education or employment.
Grade 10 course is to cover during the year the general physics topic and part 1 of the thermal physics topic. During all the hours of instruction this course is designed to suit students with the knowhow of scientific process and provide them with the support needed to be well educated and mature on both the personal and scientific levels.
The scientific environment provides students with the ability to learn skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving, helping them to perform well and prepare for the next stage of their education or employment. Moreover the exposure to practical and laboratory work make the students keen about daily life challenges and being more cautious about the way they face problems, because scientific thinking involve students in dealing with risks and train their brains on being patient to develop valuable personal and ethical skills. During term 2 of studying this course students are to focus on the material attached below (each student must download it and insert it in his portfolio).
